The CHiP Smart Cookie Oven debuted its Kickstarter campaign and has already raised over $19,000 of its $100,000 goal in the first 24 hours. This gadget is claim to fame? It can bake single-serving cookies in under 10 minutes. For $99, you can be among the first 500 owners of this brilliant new appliance. It is the invention that dorm dwellers, hotel guests, office workers, and gym rats have been waiting for.

CHiP Smart Cookie Oven:

The CHiP Smart Cookie Oven is like Keurig–the popular machine that quickly produces coffee via pods– for baked goods.

With help from CHiP, you can have perfectly baked cookies in 10 minutes. The dough comes to you in the pod form, kind of like the kinds used in a Keurig coffee machine. There is no preheating, no cleanup, and no mixing.

CHiP Smart Cookie Oven Features:

Users scan a pod of prepared CHiP cookie dough with a smartphone and the app sets the temperature and the bake time on the Wi-Fi connected appliance. The user drops the dough onto its 10-inch, non-stick baking tray, closes the lid, and lets the magic happen. Cookies are just ready to eat in less than 10 minutes and you can bake as many as four ‘gourmet sized’ cookies at a time. Plan your cookie binge up to 4 hours ahead with the delay start mode and keep baked cookies warm for up to two hours after baking (because you will want to go back for seconds and thirds and fourths, obviously).

Dough pods also include gluten-free and vegan options. The large variety of cookies includes Special Diet Cookies, Breakfast Cookies and Treat Cookies—perfect for any lifestyle or occasion.

The device features a four-inch convection fan that circulates hot air in order to bake the small dough balls. Within 10 minutes, SideChef says you will fresh, hot cookies you will swear are homemade.

CHiP Smart Cookie Oven Price:

SideChef estimates that the retail price for the machine will come in around $250. But there is a pre-order deal available for the first 500 backers who can score an oven for $99.

As for the dough pods, these will range between 88 cents to $2 each.
