A presentation is only as good as the one presenting, and Logitech just wants to make sure that you look great when you do. Logitech wants to do away with the old laser pointed remotes and instead bring in a smart, and sleek-looking one for the modern times with the new Logitech Spotlight presentation remote. The $130 remote is exclusively available on company official website in Slate or Gold, and from the Apple Store exclusively in Silver.

Logitech new Spotlight comes with a bunch of handy features including highlighting a specific area in the presentation by holding down the media button while pointing at the area, magnification or zooming in on a slide, adjusting the volume of the connected computer by tilting the remote up or down, among other things.

Logitech Spotlight

Logitech Spotlight Design

The Spotlight is striking but simple, a far cry from the most of the black and gray mouse-like blobs out there. It is a rounded aluminum wand that measures 1.2 inches wide and 5.2 inches long, available in gray, gold, and silver finishes. It only has three buttons: two smaller Spotlight buttons, and a large white Next button the same color as the remote’s body. A flat rectangle of the rubberized material on the underside helps ensure a firm grip on the otherwise smooth remote, and without interrupting its contours.

Logitech Spotlight Features

A wireless USB receiver easily fits into the bottom of the Logitech Spotlight and also features a rubber loop to easily pull it out. The receiver is simply standard USB-A; it plugs into your computer and connects to the Spotlight over a 2.4GHz wireless signal. A USB-C connector sits inside the recess for the receiver, and letting you charge the Spotlight with the included 5.3-inch USB cable. According to company, the remote can run for three hours after just one minute of charging, and can last for 3 months on a full charge. The remote is compatible with a number of presentation software including PowerPoint, Google Slides, Keynote and Prezi.

Additionally, users can set timed alerts which will let the remote vibrate to warn you when your time is up. Its Bluetooth connectivity also give you up to 100 feet or 30 metres range on the Logitech Spotlight.
